Melissa brings a passion for music and experience in climate communication to the team where she will assist with strategic communications. She brings more than ten years of experience as an urban planner focused on outreach and engagement. In New York City, she helped build consensus for regulations that enable communities to adapt to climate change. Melissa also worked in Virginia and Oregon on similar efforts to inform policy changes to reduce greenhouse gases and the impacts of sea level rise. Melissa is currently studying environmental humanities in Venice, Italy in hopes of encouraging people to take action on climate issues through inspirational experiences, including music.
